Now I can paint and get to the paints just by turning a little way.
Have had terrible back pain for quite a while, at last I have seen Dr. Barling at the Kyrle Street Clinic in Hereford. A short journey from Leominster, where I live. I think he is going to help to relieve the pain while standing at the easel. I have also bought an old wooden stool which swivels up and down, fantastic.

New painting Rich Red Roses, 12"x12" oil on board, unframed, along with a few other works, off to Twenty-Twenty Gallery in Ludlow, Shropshire. I had a really good paint with my palette knives and lots of paint, the smell of oil paint was really inspiring. Mary sells my work online via the Gallery. Ludlow is a beautiful town with gorgeous Georgian houses, it is always a pleasure to go there.
Went to see the Albert Irvin Exhibition at the RWA Gallery. The artwork was stupendous and I met Chiquita and her friend there. We all agreed the work was life affirming and we would like to pop the work under our arms and take it home(possibly a bit difficult). There were a considerable amount of paintings and all of them wonderful. I came home and dashed into the studio to have a good paint. What a great day.
Working on a piece, which is now finished and on the Gallery. I love all the red and I feel the bright flowers are a good sharp contrast. I have mainly used palette knives with only a little brush work. I am on Instagram and this work is posted there.
Some New Pieces of work in the Window of Aubergine Art. It is a lovely Gallery in Wimbledon, London and the staff are all lovely, very helpful to customers and delightful to their Artists. I have been hard at work in the studio and am now on Instagram - pennymrees. All very exciting.
I have been really enjoying myself with sheds, near the sea, in the countryside, gardens. As long as I can put flowers in the painting as well, I am happy. Have just started taking part in Instagram, where you will find more of my new work. Lots of paint, yummy.
It was a great Saturday launch of my artwork at Twenty Twenty.co.uk in Much Wenlock, which is a very charming small town. It was a busy day with many visitors and quite a few of the paintings sold. As it is on for 5 weeks I hope more will go, but of course, the web is one of the easiest ways to buy these days. Mary, the gallery owner, made me very welcome and I had some chatting along with guidance from her, in between the visitors. It is a great gallery, I suggest a journey there, Mary has lots of wonderful artwork.
I am very excited, this Saturday 10th February, is the start day for my Exhibition at twenty-twenty-.co.uk in Much Wenlock. It is a lovely gallery and the paintings are always well hung. I shall be there all day and ready for any discussion that might appear from visitors. There are 24 paintings, new work, and now definitely dry. The exhibition goes on until 17th March, so hopefully my bright coloured paint will cheer up the dull days of February. Look forward to seeing you there!
